Get a compelling look at the history of the Space Race with special guest Francis French, the Director of Education at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. Discover how propaganda was used to boost support for the Space Race and see historic images from the era.

Francis French is an author, speaker, and educator who specializes in space flight history. He has contributed to many works on the history of space and space flight. His newest co-authored book, Falling to Earth, is an autobiography of Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden. He was recently featured in PBS’s “American Experience: The Space Men.” French was also initiated into the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s Space Camp Hall of Fame in 2010.

  1. Well written. Very interesting, especially for the info on Francis French. I’m reading the book FALLING TO EARTH mentioned in your article. I knew the history of NASA. I’m glad to know it’s the focus of a seminar.
